- Cloud Sync (Pro) got a thorough reliability overhaul this release. Edits you make while a sync is still finishing are no longer dropped, deletions no longer come back, and your existing settings are never wiped the first time a new device syncs – your latest change is always the one that sticks. It also keeps to its schedule again for active users, where a timing issue could quietly push the next sync further and further out and delay changes reaching your other devices. And when a sync pulls in changes from another device, your open tabs now update right away instead of showing the old values until you reload
- Ambient light and voice input (Pro) no longer leave graphics resources behind. Over a long session that build-up could reach the browser's limit and interfere with other sites' visuals – now fixed
- Enhance quality (Pro) no longer switches itself back on after you've turned it off on a video that was still loading
- Fixed a rare case where a voice command with a missing value could leave your zoom or position stuck until you reset it
- Smoothed out a brief flicker that could appear when entering or leaving fullscreen, using a gesture, or moving between videos
- Repositioning a video by dragging and then releasing with Alt+Tab or by clicking away no longer swallows your next click on the page
- Per-site settings now save under the correct address even on pages with embedded players or widgets that change the URL in the background
- Switching a tab from a protected site (like Netflix) to a regular one now correctly re-enables ambient light instead of staying off from the previous page
- Lighter on the background, especially on pages packed with embedded frames: gesture handling only switches on when there's actually a video, idle pages scan less often, and leftover watchers from complex sites (like Reddit) are cleaned up
- Fixed a video display bug on MLB
- Human-verification checks (like Cloudflare's) that could fail or loop on some sites while the extension was on now pass normally – it no longer runs inside those verification frames
- Tidied up two small interface glitches: hiding the panel with the keyboard could leave a tooltip stranded on screen, and the toolbar panel could get stuck when moving in and out of fullscreen – both now behave
- Plus a round of under-the-hood stability and efficiency work

- Opening the panel no longer interferes with scrolling the page behind it – the page keeps scrolling exactly as it did before
- Improved keyboard accessibility throughout the panel, so it's easier to navigate without a mouse
- The status tooltip no longer pops up on page load or in new tabs – it now appears only when you actually change a setting
- The status tooltip also shows up in the right place: in Toolbar mode it follows the corner you've set for the panel, and in Companion mode it stays next to the button as before. We also dropped the little pointing arrow, which didn't render cleanly on some devices
- Fixed a broken indicator for AI speech recognition so it shows correctly again

- The biggest change: UltraWideo no longer puts a button on top of your videos by default. Open it from the UltraWideo icon in your browser toolbar instead – one click brings up the same panel
- Don't see the icon? Click your browser's extensions menu (the puzzle-piece icon in the toolbar) and pin UltraWideo so it's always one click away
- The keyboard shortcut still opens and closes it too: press Alt + Shift + A (or Ctrl + Cmd + A on macOS)
- Miss the draggable on-page button? Bring it back in seconds: open the panel, go to the Preferences tab, and switch Popup Trigger from Toolbar to Companion – the button returns exactly as it was, draggable and all
- New Interface Placement setting lets you pick which corner the panel opens from in Toolbar mode: top-left, top-right, bottom-left, or bottom-right
- Why the switch? The on-page button could cover parts of some sites, and many of you asked for a normal toolbar experience. Toolbar mode keeps your videos completely unobstructed while UltraWideo stays one click away
- Smoother, lighter animations across the whole panel, so it stays fluid even on older laptops and phones – and a new Reduce motion preference (which also follows your system setting) turns animation off entirely if you prefer
- Open the panel on a page that's still loading and it now shows a brief "looking for videos" state instead of flashing an empty panel for a split second while the page settles
- More of the interface is now fully translated: we filled in 17 strings that used to fall back to English, across all 40 supported languages
- Pro – cloud sync, now clear at a glance: the Pro section is a tidy Cloud Sync row that simply tells you where you stand – Up to date when everything's saved, or a live indicator while it catches up. Your settings still sync automatically on a relaxed, batched schedule that's gentle on battery and data
- Pro – want it synced this second? The new Sync now button pushes your settings to every device on demand, with a short cooldown so it stays gentle on both your battery and our servers
- Pro – a tidier panel: we removed the Manage account row, keeping the Pro section focused on your settings and their sync status. To manage your account, licenses, or billing details, head to your dashboard
- In Companion mode, the on-page button now plays its reveal just once when it appears – the logo draws itself in and a light shimmer sweeps across, then it settles – instead of animating on an endless loop, so it's calmer to watch and a little lighter on your device
- Fixed a bug in Companion mode where opening and then closing the on-page button could leave a site's own keyboard shortcuts – like YouTube's arrow-key seeking – unresponsive until you reloaded. Your page shortcuts now keep working normally after the panel closes
- A round of under-the-hood stability fixes: closed a few rare crashes, plugged some memory leaks, and tightened fullscreen detection so the panel reliably shows up where it should
- Everything else is untouched – your modes, scale, shortcuts, and Pro features all work exactly as before. This update only changes where the panel lives, not how your videos look

- The floating panel can now be hidden permanently. Press Alt + Shift + A (or Ctrl + Cmd + A on macOS) and it stays hidden on every site and after every page reload – no more reappearing each time you open a new tab
- Changed your mind? Click the UltraWideo icon in your browser toolbar to bring it straight back, then click again to hide it. The same shortcut toggles it too
- Shortcut doing nothing? It's almost always already claimed by another extension or your OS. Rebind it on the browser's shortcuts page (chrome://extensions/shortcuts on Chrome, Manage Extension Shortcuts from about:addons on Firefox) – or just use the toolbar icon instead
- Heads up: hiding only removes the on-page panel – your aspect-ratio settings and shortcuts keep working exactly as before, so videos still fill your screen with the panel out of the way
