Per-Site Settings
Give every site – or even every URL – its own configuration that applies automatically the moment you land there. A Pro feature.
Different sites need different setups. YouTube might want one zoom, Netflix another. Per-site settings (Pro) let you save a config per host or per path, and the right one applies the instant you arrive — no manual switching.
The three scopes
In the Settings tab, the Scope control decides where your settings apply:
- Global — applies to all sites. This is the free baseline everyone has.
- Host — applies to just this domain, e.g.
youtube.com. - Path — applies to just this exact URL.
Priority
When more than one scope matches, the most specific one wins:
Path beats Host, and Host beats Global.
So a Path setting for one specific video overrides your YouTube-wide Host setting, which in turn overrides your Global default.
Good to know
Settings auto-apply the moment you land on a matching site or URL — set YouTube once, set Netflix once, and each just works from then on.
One browser limitation worth knowing: a YouTube or Vimeo video embedded on another site uses its own domain for settings, so a youtube.com host setting applies to YouTube embeds everywhere. If you want consistent behavior across embeds, use Global. Per-site settings sync across your devices with Cloud Sync.
