Shortcuts & Gestures

Once your setup feels right, you'll rarely open the panel. Keyboard shortcuts and gestures let you drive UltraWideo without breaking from the video.

Keyboard shortcuts

Defaults, editable in your browser's extension settings:

You can remap any of these from the extension's Shortcuts tab, or directly in your browser's keyboard-shortcut settings.

Gestures

Gestures are built in and trigger only while you're hovering over a video:

Holding the pan modifier over a video shows a grab cursor, so you can tell a drag will move the video rather than select the page.

Confirmation on the video

Shortcuts and gestures change things with no panel in sight, so UltraWideo draws a small pill over the video naming what it switched to — including in fullscreen, where the panel can't open at all. It's shown in your chosen interface language and follows your theme and Reduce motion preference.

Good to know

Gestures can't be reassigned — they're fixed so they never clash with a site's own controls, and they stay dormant unless your pointer is over a video. Keyboard shortcuts are fully yours to change, and all of them are free.
